Online Driving Courses for Schools

GAOnlineDriversEd.com is one of the Georgia arms of Virtual Drive of America which has worked with the Georgia Department of Driver Services to offer online driver education courses that will provide new and needed options for school districts in the state of Georgia. Our goal is to help provide driver education solutions for school districts which allow a larger number of students to participate in driver education through the school system. Many districts have more students wanting to take driver education than the school/district can currently accommodate and many districts have removed driver’s education in its entirety. Still others have students in sports, band, chorus, or other extra curricular activities that don’t allow those students to take the course when it is offered. For this reason, many districts are looking for alternatives to their current approach. A full narrative, interactive and state specific Online Driver Education course is now available. And most importantly, this course is fully approved by the Georgia Department of Driver Services.

As the nation’s leader in Computer Based Training Driver Education, Virtual Drive of America has designed and implemented other state courses that are proving to be highly successful in deterring teen age driving accidents and moving violations. When it is all said and done, this is the most important statistic a driver education company can tout. Virtual Drive of America has verifiable surveys performed by an accredited Texas State University that shows students who have successfully completed our course have much lower accident and moving violation rates than other national driver education courses on the market today.

How the course works:

• Students will sign up for the course online via a link from your school district website.
• They will then complete either the 30-hour or 56-hour course curriculum from home via the internet.
• The 30-hour course provides a virtual instructor that helps guide the student through the course work as if they were in the classroom. This course would not fulfill the necessary criteria to offer a ½ hour elective credit.
• The 56-hour course provides a certified driver education instructor that grades, and interacts with the students. This course would fulfill the necessary criteria to offer a ½ hour elective credit. Both courses incorporate full audio on each page, video segments that support the information, animations, and graphics to create a full learning environment.
• This is not just a read page-by-page online course you may have seen with other online courses, this fully interactive program creates an environment that is interesting and engaging for the student.
• In the case of the 56 hour course, upon completion the student would be required to take the final assessment at the school with the designated driver education coordinator, vice-principal or principal.
